CLA SS HISTUR Y We the class of 1955 entered Concord H1gh School wrth exghteen students The names are as follows Mar1lyn Colby Prescott Streeter Dean Parks Bruce Ball S1dney Pat rrdge Ellen McKearney Nancy Carpenter Vera Kelly Barbara Copp Davld Thomas Howard Patrldge Barbara Moyse Stanley Morse Ronald Colby Anme Wrlght Prtscmlla Barnett Evelyn Anms and Joyce Austm In1t1at1on day was a blg day for us We all had to bow to a sophomore when meetlng any member of that class The gzrls had to wear the followmg men s pajamas x:nan's straw hat one rubber and one low shoe on wrong feet' blackened faces no make up halr powder ed whrte carry a pall w1th three to f1ve pound rock rn lt a coke bottle and wear ha1r tn s1x bralds The boys had to wear mght gowns carry a baby s bottle baby's clothes m pall put halr 1nto twelve pm curls wear women's shoes on wrong feet l1pst1ck rouge a bonnet on head danghng ear rtngs three or four bracelets and nylon stocklngs Vera Kelly d1scont1nued school early 1n the year To earn money that year we sold re freshments at one basketball game sponsored a Valent1ne Party held an auctlon and put The class off1cers that year were as follows Presldent Ronald Colby V1ce presldent Ann1e Wr1ght Secretary Pr1sc1lla Barnett and Treasurer Stanley Morse Those elected to Student Counc1l were Dean Parks and Ellen McKearney When we started our sophomore year we had fourteen members Stanley Morse and Dean Parks dld not return and S1dney Patrrdge transferred to Connect1cut Shortly after school started Tommy Bean Jorned our class after transferrmg from Llttleton N H To earn money we sold refreshments at one balketball game sponsored a one act play and sold candy bars at school Our class adv1ser was Mxss Durkee The class offlcers were as follows Presrdent Joyce Austln Vlce pres1dent Prescott Streeter Secretary Nancy Carpenter and Treasurer Martlyn Colby Those elected to Student Counc1l were Ellen McKearney and Ronald Colby In 1953 there were fourteen members Around m1d year tlme Ellen McKearney Marllyn Colby Howard Patrrdge and Prmscllla Barnett drscontlnued school To earn money we sold refreshments at all the ball game! except three sponsored a one act play and had a food sale Ronald Colby was chosen Class Marshall for the class of 1954 The class offrcers were as follows Presldent Joyce Austm V1ce presldent Prescott Streeter Secretary Joan Ramsdell and Treasurer Nancy Carpenter Nancy Carpenter was elected to attend Grrls' State and Prescott Streeter was elected to attend Boys' State Our class advlser was Mr Palge 9 , , . . . . : ' : 1 1 - 1 ' . i I I l 1 l i ' Y I I D - ' I l . , . . . . : , . , 1 1 2 1 l . , . . . . . , I . . . . i . , , y . a .
