Although the team did not cap the tonference title, they never let down at any time and at the end of the season were recognized as one of the finest offensive teams in the state. Guard Morrison Honeycutt, who played outstanding ball the entire season, earned a position on the all-conference team, in recognition of his fine team play. We shall always have a place in our memory for the 1954 football team. Win or lose, their fighting spirit, determination, and hustle provide a challenge to future squads at C. H. S.
