Trying to defend their DVAL title from the year before. Concord High's Basketball Team fell short finishing with a 7-7 league record. The Minutemen tied for fourth place but were unable to compete in the playoffs due to the loss of coin flip. Losing four starting players from their undefeated team last year, the Minutemen knew it was going to be an uphill battle all the way. They got off to a good start by winning five of their first six games. But the team faltered in the middle of the season. Center Bill Hodges was chosen to the first team DVAL. Other standouts included forward Ron Grobeck and guard Sean McFarland.
