Cross Country Hillman's speed provided strength or small team ARSITY Coach Chuck Hunter, Ron O'Neil, Ceorge Hillman, Mike Capo- illa, Scott Walker, Dave Barry. Senior Ceorge Hillman was the Most Valuable Runner on the team. Only beating Pittsburg, Concord's Varsity Cross Country team came up with a disappointing final record of 1-7. Coach Chuck Hunter pointed out George Hillman as outstanding varsity man and Bob Loeffler tops for Frosh-Soph. KNEELING-Tim O'Connell, Charles McGough, Jeff Freeman, Ron Lane, Craig Sabatine, Mark Stcindel, Mark Co-tens, Fred McDougal, John Peterson, Shawn Brady, Anthony Boyle, Mike Jasey, Alan Peterson. STANDING-Coach Bruce Wallace, Steve Ortiz, John Waite, Troy Brunty, Don McGrath, Paul Newfield, Tom Carlson, Rob Davis, Terry Orr, Gene Birdwell, Mark Guinn, Jeff Muhr, Coach Ron Stafford. Having basically a very good year considering this was the finest freshmen football league in five years, Concord's Little Green came up with a 3 win 6 loss record. Coach Ron Stafford pointed out running back Troy Brunty as the finest frosh back in the league and he proved it by gaining over eleven hundred yards. Also consistant players were Don McGrath, Terry Orr and Bruce Baeta.
