This year's Homecoming was dampened by rain and caused it to come indoors. 1973 Homecoming Queen's crown went to Amber Thornton which was announced at the dance and not the traditional half-time period during the game. During half-time nothing happened, and the senior float didn't even appear. First place went to freshmen, juniors took second, with sophomores claiming third. Homestead provided music for the dance, at which the Queen was crowned. Senior princesses for this year were: Linda Root, Stacey Lynde, Cathy Crespi, Janet Giacoma, and Joni Blatter. Class princesses included Tina Boonos; juniors, Janice Minges; sophomores, and Debbie Hurwitz; freshmen. Homecoming breakfast with rolls and orange juice was held before school. At the lunchtime rally, Sue MacArthur; Rally Commissioner, announced the addition of a homecoming King, Horace Westbrook.
