The National Thespian Society is the nu- cleus of our dramatic club. The Concord High alhliation was created in 1953. The aims of the National Thespian So- ciety are twofold: first, to establish and promote standards of excellence in all phases of the Dramatic Arts, second, to create an active and intelligent interest in Drama among students of the secondary schools. Any member of the Dramatic Club who has accumulated one hundred hours of experience, either in acting or production, is eligible for induction. 22

Dramatic Club got off to a slow start in 1964. Once the process was complete, however, en- thusiasm for all phases of the dramatic arts was great. With Mr. Blanchard as director, Mr. Merrigan as producer, and Mr. Bourn as set designer, the club pre- sented Pygmalion in early March. The organiza- tion has about one hundred active members.
