The Chess Club was formed to allow students interested in playing and learning to play chess the opportunity for instruction and prac- tice. Each Thursday afternoon the group met in the cafeteria and matched wits with opponents from within the club. Later they met other squads of players from various schools in the area. Pres: A. Linnane, J. Blake. ART CL Under the leadership of Miss Panagoustas, the Art Club was busy all year turning out attractive posters and signs for various school functions and clubs. The whole school was brightened at Christ- mas time by the beautiful decorations in the foyer provided by the club. Bulletin boards around the school were designed by inernbers of the club who also keep up the attractive displays in the cafeteria. Advisor: Miss Panagoustas I6
