T0 PREPARE FOR COLLEGE . . . .iff The ancient customs of Rome come alive again as Bob Holderman, Bill Toney, and Richard Read demonstrate to the Latin Class how the slaves dressed their master. The intricacies of publishing a news- paper and working on an annual keep these journalism students absorbed. Some of them have become skilled photographers, mimeo- graph operators, and writers, all have learned to express themselves, organize their work, and enlarge their vocabularies. Many of Concord's students have gone to college to prepare for careers in teaching, engineering, medicine, theology, law, and business. These students have proved the ex- cellent background they received in high school. The courses in mathematics, his- tory, science and languages not only in- crease the students' knowledge, but train them in reasoning, understanding, evalua- tion and expression. 17 1 s 5 ll I!! K
