CLASS PRCPHECY As the story opens we find Mrs. Fisher stilf looking for the Senior Class of 46, which disappeared ten years before on a trip to Niagara Falls. As she continues on her 'way she notices a mailman, and regarding him more closely, finds that he is Ed Goodman, delivering mail in a self-made jeep. From her talk with Ed she is informed that several of the seniors are in this vicinity. She enters the Converse Hotel to get reservations, but finds that the rooms are reserved for big politicians. She notices the name of Charles James Klinefelter on the register, who having been defeated for the presidency twice, is now running for vicefpresident. E She leaves the hotel and is walking along when she notices neon lights flashing above a burlesque theater, Owned by Jim Neely, Don Hoffman, and Bob Cutter. She walks in and sure enough, there they are sitting in the front row. Mrs. Neely, the former Dona Weber, is still trying to get Jim home. Mrs. Fisher is so shocked she faints and is picked up by a policeman, Dale Brock, who spent so much of his time in the station, he decided to become a member. They call an am- bulance and the driver is Dick Swinehart, who thought this would give him a good excuse for driving through redflights. At the hospital Dr. Dwight Pletcher, who has lost three out of four cases says there is no cause for alarm, and puts head nurse, Ella Chilcote, in charge. From her talk with Ella, she learns that the stork had left triplets for Mrs. James Myers, the former Carol Herrli. She also is told that Eileen Butler is now happily married to Bob Goodman, an airplane pilot who has just made a three hour flight from Burbank, California, to New York City. When Mrs. Fisher has fully recovered she decides she needs a good meal and enters an exclusive restaurant owned and operated by Lavene Weaver and Bob Yoder. While she is eating her meal served by the head waiter, Glenn Smith, she turns to locate the source of the music and notices Leo Fawley, and his all girl orchestra composed of: Jackie Nelson, Ella Rinehart, and Sarah Detwiler, with Doris Leinhart starred as vocalist. Mrs. Fisher hears a loud giggle and turns to dis' cover Grace Gilreath, the cigarette girl, talking to Ted Parcell, manager of a candy shop. She also notices Fi Fi Grable, the great movie actress, former Marijane Martin. Her press agent, Eugene Dean, walks in and they pose for pictures taken by that ace photographer, Jr. Shafer. Mrs. Fisher leaves the restaurant and goes directly to a bank as she needs money. Mildred Burkholder is president and Doris Bontrager, her private secretary. When Mrs. Fisher leaves the bank she walks to a district where several new homes are being built. She notices Carl Reiner, a mason, building a beautiful brick home. Ailene Parcell is standing behind him, verbally tearing it down. Mrs. McBrier, the former Cleo Myers, and her husband are ready to move into their newly pure chased home. Mrs. Fisher enters an F. W. Woolworth store to get a sundae and is served by the main soda jerk, Juanita Forrest. Juanita tells her that Bob Troyer is the basketball coach of Northwestern University and Herb Hoover is his assistant. Upon leaving F. W. Wo0lworth's Mrs. Fisher runs into Willowdean Marks, who is a saleswoman for the Skippy Peanut Butter Company. Mrs. Fisher decides she needs a different hairfstyle as she intends to go to an exclusive fashion show. As she goes on her way she notices a street cleaner, Ronald Ball, who is working very hard. She enters Madame Leist's Beauty Salon, and there are Donita, chief operatorg Betty Nelson, manicuristg and Imogene Risserg running the reducing machine. As she nears the fashion show her attention is attracted to a large newspaper office called The Niagara Falls Times. A desire for more news leads her to enter and to her delight, June Belt is in the main office. From conversing with June she learns that June is married to Tom Christian, who is editor of this newspaper. June tells Mrs. Fisher that Dot Hayes is living in Niagara, still waiting for Andy to get home on leave. , She leaves the office and continues on her way to the fashion show. When she arrives, and is seated by lrene Weldy, manager, she finds Martha Misner, modeling exclusive dresses. From their conversation she finds Bernadine Everest, opera singer and accompanist, Miss Gloria Shank, are still trying to get into the opera house for an audition. As Mrs. Fisher thinks back over her travels she knows one is missing and remembers Joyce Love. She goes back to the Newspaper Office and June looked it up in the files and finds that the daring Joyce Love was last seen going over Niagara Falls in a harm' for publicity. After this frightening experience Mrs. Fisher decides she needs a rest and intends to go as far away from Niagara as she possibly can. There is no doubt in her mind, but that this was a very unusual class. This ends Mrs. Fisher's tenfyear search for the Sr. Class of 1946. DONA WEBER DOT HAYES JOYCE LOVE
