Golf Team Pushes Through Last Stroke This year the Conant Colt Team finished the sea- son with a record of 7 and 16, which was a drop of 4 wins from last year. Although we had a disappointing record, the team's efforts for a winning season were certainly no disappointment. The team fought down to the wire in every match and many of our losses came down to the last stroke. Next year's team will be very experienced and looks to have a good season. This year's seniors wish Coach Carlson and the rest of the team the best ot luck. Dave Langlois 5 641 Golf it i i 1 ,W ,, W M. , ,. , l Varsity Golt Front Row: Barbara Snyder, Dave Langlois. Cougars Are Winners On The Court As I look back on the 1985 Volleyball season, I remember all the hard drills we pushed ourselves through and the many fun times we still laugh about. Throughout the season we had the dedication and motiviation to be winners. We were not only winners on the court, but oft the court as well. We had pride within ourselves and that is how we stepped on the court. That pride and winning attitude was the factor that helped us achieve a second place trophy in the Harlem Tournament. We defeated Rolling Meadows and Rockford East, two highly ranked teams. With those victories we gained the confidence that we were the best team we could be. We were proud with our ability to play well because we ARE winners. The motivation, dedication, and desire to be winners came straight from our hearts. And with that pride we ended the season. To the volleyball players that follow, you must never give up. Together you must push yourselves and each other to the limits. Believe in yourselves and you will have that pride like the class of 1986 had. Best of Luck, Tricia Kirby Varsity Volleyball Front Row: Coach Peggy Scholten, Sandy Calder- one, Donna laeger, lill Schoettes, Suzi Calderone. Back Row: Rebe Sckrabulis, Michelle Shank, Michelle Dickey, Kim Pearce, Tricia Kirby, Kathy Ahern. tlllockwise-above! Blocked! by Kim Pearce. Ready to serve the winning point is Michelle Dickey.
