Parting Comments . . . and that's the way it was. has wrapped up the news for millions of Americans for many years. We hope this edition ol the 1986 Conavite wraps up the year tor you. Like any news, it is selective, focusing on the feature events ofthe year. For this reason we adolpted the special of AP and UPI photos tor those times when books are taken oft the shelf in future years. Two main events not included were Liberty Weekend, due to deadlines, and the liability crunch. I hope that in future years, the sports section will not be only a memory as many school districts face rising insurance costs. Speaking of sections, Amy was the complete EIC overseeing every phase ofthe book's production. The book's look was definitely hers. As an EIC pursuing a career in photojournalism, the Conavite should provide many pages of memories. Student life was her special feature this year. Sports continues to be a major part of the year's calendar at Conant as any glance at our sports section will show. Jill is to be commended for her two-year stint with this largest section of the book. The expanded academics and organizations sec- tions round out lite at Conant for its 2,500+ stu- dent body with Amy, Cindy and Michelle coordinating those divisions. Focusing on individual students, Julie added collages lor those candid moments during the day. According to surveys, if any high school relic is taken off the shelt ten years from now, it will be a yearbook. I hope you'lI enjoy looking at it then as well as now.
