Student Council Shows Versatility Student Council has done so much this year, from putting on dances to helping the community. As everyone knows Student Council plans Homecoming and Spirit Week, along with the Halloween Dance, Turnabout, and Maui Madness, but Student Council also sponsored the M.S. Spell-a-thon, and Youths lor Human Rights, which we had a can good drive for the needy. Members of Student Council also went to Cam- bridge Nursing Home and played bingo with the elderly people, something they really enjoyed the looked forward to. Student Council had a faculty Christmas party in which the teachers were able to bring their children and have an enjoyable day. Sudent Council also had an appreciation tea for the faculty, as a way of saying thank you. Student Council gives a student a chance to be a leader and teaches the art of team work, because in order to get anything done everyone must work together. 1211! Student Council

The Classes: An Important Part Of Conant The Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior classes are four separate clubs that meet on a regular basis. Many students think that they are a part of Student Council, but that is a misconception. The two are actually quite different. Although the Freshman Class doesn't sponsor any maior events, the students still meet to plan events that will enable them to meet new people and to interact in this new new environment better. The Sophomore Class has the opportunity to spon- sor such things as the selling of class rings. The members are able to decide which company gives the most for the least money. This is their major proiect for the year. The Junior Class plays a major role in the social activities at Conant by preparing for Prom. Every detail that goes into Prom, such as the fashion show, meals, and music, the Junior Class decides. Finally, the Senior Class is also involved in several important activities at Conant. Besides discussing how bad a case of Senioritis they each have, the students plan for where their Senior Breakfast will be held, and the class gift to Conant. ,N shmlgi I - F-f 515 -14 Nic,.,.-auf Senior Class Front Row: Kari Smith, Gina Kim Claire Kaplan Laurel Faulhaber Dina Third Row Kristy Collins Cheryl Lobodzinski Jennifer Cord 126!
