Conant's Foreign Language Club worked especially this year with several fund-raisers such as their candy sales. The profits went toward field-trips and parties. The Foreign Exchange Club also spent a lot of effort toward such fund-raisers. Their money was spent on the hosting of the French and German Exchange students. lt was a successful year. The International Club is a group of students particularly with a foreign background. They enjoy meeting to go on field-trips and to take part in several group discussions. S.A.E. is another club that has been quite active this year. They hosted activities such as Student! Teacher Turnout Day that promoted educational spir- it at Conant. Drama Club Takes The Risk Okay, this year was pretty hot. We have made some great friends, fulfilled some great expectations fCharles Dickens-you know how I relate everything to schoollb The flowers have dried, the props and costumes have been shoved back in the closets, Miss Anderson has her keys, yet memories still linger. We won't forget latenight excursions to Taco Bell, klee- nex at the love-ins, long rehearsals that really wor- ried us. Still, we never doubted. Not while we sweated in the hall about creating an improvisation in two minutes that would be funnier than the latest epi- sodes of Saturday Night Live fbut not as funny as the Love Connectionj The tradition has to be main- tained, but don't forget to take the risks and invent yourself in the work. Lots and lots of effort goes into a few culminating hours of performance, but it is always worth it if you take them away for a little while. Hopefully they laughed, they cried. We did.
