Our Chemical Reaction Team is concerned with the problem of substance abuse. These students have meetings to discuss and learn more about this problem in order to educate their peers. Their hard work has a great deal of satisfying results. Conant's Students Against Drunk Drivers Club is similar to the C.R.T., but concentrates on a specific abuse. These students spend their time trying to teach others of the seriousness of drunk driving. They too are a caring group of people that worries about our safety. Peer Counseling is a group of students that meet weekly to discuss problems they are forced to deal with in their lives. They learn the art ol listening and understanding other people, while getting a chance to express their own feelings. These clubs should all be recognized for the care they put into their work. s,,w,fre . Skills lmproved The Forensics Team is a very close and inspira- tional team. The members get experience competing against other schools in all forms of public speaking. During the competitions, they meet people who hold a common interest. After a member receives a tro- phy, they realize that the trophy isn't as important as the individual and team effort that won it. The Home Economics club extends skills beyond the classroom. Combining practice with fun, this year's club tackled projects ranging from mass pro' duction techniques utilized in the Valentine cookie sale to service projects such as the completion of pillows for a local nursing home.
