Dave Lovell IS prospermg as a result of Lovell's Grand Grocer1es On my way here I had spotted Karmen Dejong, Carol Clark, and Mananne Sponaas at the axrport where they are stall Transcontlnenml Stewardesses When my fllght was held up m New York, I had a chance to v1s1t Manlou M1ller's Stud1o of the Dance Scott McKay and Hugh Cosgrove were two of her best dance mstructors Her advertxsmg was handled by Shrrley Dondzlla, one of New York's most prom1s1ng commex-c1a1 artxsts I was on my way back to the plane when I spotted a fasluonable women's store, Klekotka's Kool Klothes , owned by Barb Klekotka, and managed by Maureen DeF rece, Sharley Ackerman, and Deanna Mxtchell Back m the plane once more, I looked up at the other passengers Jamce Payne was sxttmg a short dxstance from me Whrle talkmg, she told me she was now head lxbrarxan m Grand Rapxds and was returmng from purchasmg a very valuable set of books When she told me she had obtamed them hom the firm of VanWmgen, Koert, Karas1ew1cz, and Benham, I was utterly amazed Wh.1ch one of us 1n those far-off days would have placed those four m a book publlshmg business? When we landed m Grand Raplds, we parted company I needed transportauon, and bemg acquamted wlth the schedules, I looked rn the yellow pages and found Ken Swan's Kar Kare Shop On the chance that he was the same person 21 41, I ' .
