Their goals are To grow as a person, To grow in friendship with people of all races, religions and nationalities, and To grow in the knowledge and love of God. Some of their big events this year were giving a World Fellow- ship, having their Recognition Ser- vice, and servin at the dinner for the Community Cghest Drive, and attending the Miniature Mid-Winter Conference. Their officers are: res. , Sue Robinsong Vice-Pres. , Vicki Reebg Sec'y. and Treas. , Alberta Maguire. At their regular noon meetings, they played games, had film strips, and learned the Virginia Reel. Their special events were a free get-acquainted lunch, Recognition ervice, splash party, at the Y. W. C. A. , and a Christmas pot- luck andparty. Their biggestpro- jects were selling taffy and giving a Christmas basket to a needy family. 2

LAEGEI G HELPS ES GEEW SENIOR PLAY CAST, LEFT TO RIGHT: S. Snyder, G. Peterson, A. Green, N. Cordes, P. Roberts, D. Schippers, M. Karasiewicz, J. Gelderbloom, R. Post, E. Meester. ABSENT: D. Geiger. M PEEK and SPASMSH On November 18, the Senior Class presented the three act mystery comedy entitled Spooks and Spasms. The play centered around the old Ravenstein homestead which was inherited by Carol Calloway, played by Mary Karasiewicz. Elsie Meester as her sister lone, and Susie Snyder as her young and mischievous brother, Sidney, comprised Carol's family. The plot was based on the hoax that Dicky Bird, alias Slash Costigan, alias Hugo Ravenstein, the young doctor, Rex Rosner, Mr. and Mrs. Hawkwood, and their son, Benjy, played upon the other characters in order to frighten them away. Ron Post played the part of Dicky Bird, Jim Gelderbloom the part of Dr. Rosnerp Adele Green and Dick Geiger as Mr. and Mrs. Hawkwoodg Paul QQ Roberts as Benjy. Nancy Cordes as Gerda Swanson Ravenstein gave a convincing per- formance as a crazy nurse. Gail Peterson added humor in the part of Eruiice Tuthill with her morbid poetry. The comedy element was provided by Diane Schippers as Allie Katz. The love interest centered about Carol and Dr. Rosner, also lone and Dicky Bird. JUNIOR PLAY CAST, FIRST ROW, LEFT TO RIGHT: R. Bricker, I. Cree, N. Vanden Bosch, T. Lapinsky. SECOND ROW: P. Maine, K. Brunner, E. Lefebvre, D. Froling, L. Whiting, J. Dove. EEAEY MAEE EAMILYH A READY MADE FAMILY was presented by the Junior Class this year on March 9th, in the high school auditoruim. The play, a farce in three acts, was a lively account of how the children of one family tried to stop their mother from marrying the father of another family while his children tried to do the same. Amidst baby talk, seizures, constant talk of operations, and kleptomanic, the play proved to be a hilarious comedy from beginning to end. Cast in the production were Nancy Vanden Bosch as Agnes Martyn, a widow, Lloyd Whiting as Bob, her song Emilie Lefebvre as Marilee, her older daughterg Joan Cree as Gracie, her youngest child, and Johanna Dove as Miss Lydia, her sister-in-law. Terry - Lapinsky took the part of Henry Turner, a widower and his children were por- trayed by Dorene Froling as Doris and Kurt Brunner as Sammy. Pat Maine is cast as Begonia, the Martyn's cook, and Dick Bricker played the handy man, Nicodemus. Mrs. Adele Snyder directed the comedy.
