Our Philosophy and our Objectives revolve around the idea of serving students and meeting their needs. Specifically, we want to provide a place where students can go and discuss their problems with other well trained students or the director of the center. The director and the student staff have trained extensively in the area of behavior examination. Behavior exam- ination is a counciling methodology which allows the person to solve his or her own problem with help and direc- tion from a trained staff person. Our philosophical goal is for someone who comes in to examine all alternative solutions to their problem aijid then to pick the solution that is best for him or her. We will provide information about drugs, VD, pregnancies, suicide, or more common problems such as disputes with parents, girl or boy friends, etc. Our feeli ngs are that we will try to help anyone with a problem, no matter how big or small. This is not to say we will be 100% effective, but we will try to help all of the time. One of our biggest services will be to provide a comprehensive referral system. Through a referral system we will be able to put you in touch with an expert” agency for a specific problem. This service, as with all of our services, will be done on a confidential basis to protect the student. We have many fine services to offer so come in and check us out, and let us help you when we can.
