“The Star-Spangled Girl” The Thespian’s Fall production, “The Star-Spangled Girl starring Patti Dantone, Phil Morrison, and Dave Pacic, was a smash hit. This comedy told of a crazy, under-ground newspaper editor who falls madly in love with a sassy, Southern, All-American girl. Our 1971 Basketball Homecoming Court. 1-r B. Boven. D. Hansen, B. Maartens. C. Anderson. King Reggie Franks. Queen Debi Smith. M. Johnson, N. Kobler. K. Kimball. P. Dantone. I The 1971 Basketball Homecoming was a tremendous success from the start to the finish. The week begun with the traditional kick-off assembly and a button day. For the second year in a row, mini floats were built by the classes, displayed during the half time of the game and judged. On cowboy and Indian day many hilarious outfits rode into school. A new idea entered into Homecoming this year. Each class decided on something to wear or carry to distinguish themselves from the other classes. It was appropriately called class day. Blue and white day was a hit as usual and the excited air after the crowning of Reggie Franks and Debi Smith, our 1971 Basketball Homecoming King and Queen helped to back our team in their victory over Otsego 96 to 84.
