R Smith (10) passed the ball to the victory. He’s got that ball and will never let go. The “Won-Lost” column did not honestly reveal the true 1968 Comstock football team. The competition envolved in the Wolverine Conference was of high caliber. Many games were lost in points, but won in skill and determina- tion. '1 he sincerity and dedication of Coach Wayne Hunt and his assistants added a bright side to the Colt’s losing season. The co-oaptains. Carry Munson and Jim Srackangast, set a rigid standard for the rest of the team to follow. This standard was followed by such out- standing players as Martin Johnson and Garry I ane, who made the All ( inference first team. On the All Conference second team was Bruce Dema- rest. Jim Srackangast. and Chris Clark. Garry Munson earned an honorable mention. R. Smith guards for B. Page as they push down the field. A touch of the hand and down he goes. Mr Hunt, B. Every year the Comstock Choir produces it’s annual musical. Every year Mr. Smith comes up with a suprising program, this year was no different. Carousel was one of the most suprising. It was a very difficult play with many songs and the choir members did very well. She wouldn’t come any other way. 65 Lindy, Linda, Rhonda—the good and the evil meet. 66 “Him dead? I’ve heard another noise. It could be the murderer' “The best play here in years.” That and more was heard about the play. No words though, could describe the superb job done by the cast and crew of Ten Little Indians. With directors and stage crews working full capacity the play went off perfectly. Many many people and hours of hard work is what produced this excellent piece of work. A thank-you to all and sponsor Mr. M. Strippforall the efforts! They lost the “soul and inspiration” that guided it for many years. The leader I speak of is Mr. Bill J. Brown. This man was definitely the most admired and respected member of the school system in the eyes of all students who knew him. His kindness, interest in students and the intensity in which he tackled his job was equaled by no other. Mr. Brown was a man you could follow and respect yet not feel intimidated by his author- ity. We were surprised and unhappy to lose him, yet grate- ful to have known him as our principal the all too short time he was with us.
