SufiewttendeHt 'T te teiye This year finds us in a period of sober examination of what Has Been” and what Will Be. As the Beep, Beep, of the satellite fades in the distance, and the moon slowly comes closer to our world, we begin to ask ourselves, Where and why are we going? It is in a time like this that clear thinking is needed and the young people, the future leaders, are the group who must furnish us the proper guideposts. You graduates are a part of that group, and we hope that you have received the proper help; the help that will enable you to make decisions which will lead us to the right path, —the path that will assure all nations, races and creeds of equal opportunity and peaceful existence. The job we give you is tremendous! The help we have tried to give is minute. Now we hope and pray that your efforts will meet with more success than our work has in the past. And I say now, because the chance may not come again— Thank you, B. J. Murrey Graduates of 1959, you have been subjected to a great deal of knowledge in the past thirteen years. What portion of this knowledge you have taken has been to a great extent up to you. How much of this you use in the future will once again be up to you. What you do, what you become will be your responsi- bility. Each year that passes you will find greater responsi- bilities forced upon you. These will come gradually enough so that you can handle them without undue fear. You will always be answering the question, Where to? What next? ; from these questions there is no escape. However, how you answer them will determine the success with which you pass your life. With an optimistic view, we of the school wish you well and offer our services, should you ever need them. D. McDowell
