 As you finish your high school career, you will enter a world that is dominated by wonder drugs, atomic energy and space travel. It is well to re- member that this is nothing unusual in the pattern of human progress. Since the beginning of time, there has been a record of new inventions and discoveries, along with expanding frontiers. I can only hope that the Class of 1958 will also remember that this prog- ress has only been possible because of the basic vir- tues on which our country was founded and has been preserved - the principles of honesty, fair play, hard work, and above all, faith and hope. So I say to you: be honest with yourself, play fair with others; work to the best of your ability; have faith in the present; and hope for the future. If you do, there is no doubt that our country, and the world, will be a better place in which to live, and happiness and success will be your personal reward. MR. BEN J. MURREY, Superintendent MR.
