In appreciation of this and the twenty-nine years she has spent in the education of young people, we acknowledge her accomplishments. Her full devo- tion to our aims is most humbly respected. BOARD OF EDUCATION MR. BEN MURREY-------------------------- — Superintendent MR. CELER STAFFORD.................................Trustee MR. VERN NORWOOD...................................Trustee MR. ART MIDDLETON ---- - .......-----President MR. THOMAS BOVEN...................................Trustee MRS. MARY BELL Secretary As you finish your high school career, you will enter a world that is dominated by wonder drugs, atomic energy and space travel. It is well to re- member that this is nothing unusual in the pattern of human progress. Since the beginning of time, there has been a record of new inventions and discoveries, along with expanding frontiers. I can only hope that the Class of 1958 will also remember that this prog- ress has only been possible because of the basic vir- tues on which our country was founded and has been preserved - the principles of honesty, fair play, hard work, and above all, faith and hope. So I say to you: be honest with yourself, play fair with others; work to the best of your ability; have faith in the present; and hope for the future. If you do, there is no doubt that our country, and the world, will be a better place in which to live, and happiness and success will be your personal reward. MR. BEN J. MURREY, Superintendent MR. DAVID McDOWELL, Principal 'It is my hope that each and every graduate finds his place in our society and becomes a contributing member to his neighborhood, city, state, and fed- eral government. The challenge of our time de- mands this type of product from our schools. MR. ROBERT BARBER MRS. The King's court in- cluded Jerry Guess, Champ Eisenhardt, and Lyman Weber. Mr. Murray presented them with the crowns and trophies at the half time ceremony. Because of flu, the game with Paw Paw was canceled and we played Caledonia. There were floats contributed by the cheerleaders, the Junior class, and the Pep Club. The Homecoming dance after the game, sponsored by the cheerleaders, was a great success. THE MAJORETTES AND THE BAND Comstock’s first selected choir numbers thirty- three.
