SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE It is always with a mixed feeling of pride and sorrow that we approach the end of another school year. Proud that another group of young people have prepared themselves to assume their places in the world; sorry that we no longer will have our seniors who have worked for and with us these many years. But that is the law of progress; old places and faces must continually be replaced. As the graduating class begins the task of maintaining and improving our great country, other students will carry on the work they have so nobly begun. So good-by and good luck. May you have all the success and hap- piness you rightly deserve. PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE As each one of you, in the graduating class of 1957, leaves your school, I would like to have you take this thought with you: Every student has a creative spark. The development of this spark is your most sacred task. This spark makes us truly human, gives continuity to existence, and gives hope for the future. What it is we do not know, for ultimately man remains a secret to himself. Man sees himself only in manifestation not as an essence. This spark indicates that nothing is impossible if we have the necessary patience and in- telligence. THANK YOU” We the class of 1957 wish to thank Mr. Young for all he has done for us. He has been our counselor and our guide for the past four years. During our freshman year he helped us plan our whole high school course. Later when we had problems in school he was always ready to counsel us. In our senior year he has helped us plan for the future, whether it be college, the armed services, ora career. Our life has been made richer for having known him. 7
