Memorial Day Nursery Mrs. Nancy lTeacher-Coordinatorl enroute to one of her training stations. 60 The Home Economics Cooperative is the most recent of the cooperative education courses to be made available to eleventh and twelfth grade students. This program has as its aim: to give the young adult the opportunity to seek, obtain and advance in a position of employment related to home economics. The student achieves this aim through supervised on-the-job training and related class- room instruction. Small classes with expended visitation time allowed to the teacher-coordinator achieve the close relationship between school, community and home considered by many to be one of the most outstanding features of the program. Home economics training areas in which students may be employed are food service, child care, housekeeping management, floral design, home-furnishings, bridal con- sultant and fabricacoordinator. FRENCH - Estrus Tucker FRENCH SWEETHEART AND BEAU Gloria Walton and Wayne Cash The true purpose of a French Club in high school is to enliven the study of French for students, as it provides opport- unities for many enjoyable features of language study. The members of the club had lunch at Le Bistro's Restaurant and found it both interesting and amusing. The waiters spoke French and some of the students responded to them in French. This is just a sample ofthe type of activities outside of school in which the club participates. l i THE CLUB . ,M-an-. . Q X......e- -. Wifi Glenn Nolly, President: Mrs. lVI. Washington, Sponsor.
