Favorite Teachers RUDOLPH EASTMAN RUDOLPH EASTMAN, a native of Hereford, Texas is a graduate of Paul Ouinn College, Waco, Texas where he maj- ored in History and Business. He is the teacher of 8th Grade Social Studies and High School Drama Coach. He is a ded- icated teacher with an embedded love for Drama and the Arts. Hobbies include reading and fishing . . . We here at Como think he is a pretty nice guy . Teacher Eastman explaining some important data to the members of his class. 7 512, 'F .fa gt? MRS. GLORIA HOUSTON MRS. GLORIA HOUSTON, a native of Fort Worth is a graduate of l. M. Terrell High School and Huston Tillotson College where she received her B.S. Degree. She has done gra- duate work at North Texas State University. Before joining the faculty at Como, Mrs. Houston taught in the County School in Meridian, Mississippi. She is a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church and takes an active part in the Senior Choir. This favorite teacher finds great pleasure in working with teenagers, housekeeping, sewing, when time allows, and reading. Favorite Teacher Houston doing her favorite thing , effectively in- structing students at Como.

Favorite Teachers HENRY FRANKLIN HARVEY Coach Harvey, our head football coach was chosen as the favorite male teacher in the Senior High Division. He is a native of Tyler, Texas and a graduate of Emmett Scott High School of that city. He is a graduate of Texas Southern Univer- sity and a Korean veteran. Honors: All District - 2 years, led state in passing. Most sought after black athlete in state in 1949, led Midwestern Athletic Conference in passing as a freshman. Won the National Collegiate Championship in 1952. Q Coach Hanley showing off his physique in one of his P.E. classes. MRS. JEWEL FAYE KELLY Mrs. Kelly, favorite female teacher, Senior High Division, is a native of Fort Worth, Texas and a graduate of l. Nl. Terrell High School. She attended North Texas State University where she majored in Music. She has done graduate work at that institution and is scheduled to receive her Masters degree in the near future. Mrs. Kelly is an accomplished musician and teacher. She is co-winner of the Fort Worth Teacher of the Year and Director of Music at Shiloh Baptist Church. E R 5 il SNOOTY BUT SWEET . . . She has just received one dozen roses as KFJZ's Sweetheart of the Day.

ames 0. Ingram, Faculty Represen fafive lVlr. James Ingram, the faculty representative for Como Jun- ior-Senior High School, has served in this capacity for the past three years. Those teachers who only carry a full teaching load realize the extra time and work involved in serving as a faculty representauve. Some of those many oft times thankless duties are: Attending representative meetings Meeting with the faculty Conducdngteachersurveys Assisting new teachers Providing information: Unhed Fund Insurance VVorkshops Handhnggnevanceprocedures ConducdngvounginthebuHdmg IVIr. Ingram as a teacher of mathematics at our school can boast of the fact that Como graduates have consistently scored among the top percentile in math. As representative to the Fort Worth Classroom Teachers Association, IVIr. Ingram speaks for the entire faculty and votes for them at the delegate assembly. JAMES O.
