Basketball Coach of fllQ Year GS Far GS W9 Are Concerned., we COACH TIMOTHY A. AUSTIN Coach Austin's Como Lions 27-6 record was due to the overall team spirit possessed by the Lions. Winning the Tishomingo Oklahoma Tour- nament was additional stimulus to the Lions. This added momentum, provided the Lions with the incentive to tie for the first half of their district and to win the district playoff games, the district, bi-district, and regional titles, and to go all the way to state finals. The Lions played best when playing clutch games, winning the games that were necessities. They won the Big Ones. The spirit and the ability of the 1971 Basketball Team will long be remembered by the coach as one of the very best. O.K.
