Returning to Puerto Rico after an absence of ten years, I picked up the local newspaper in hopes of finding news of my classmates fClass of '68J. I was really surprised to see, on the front page, headlines about William and Tom L. They apparently are international playboys and are returning to their harem in Asia. Sandy was also on the front page. Her campaign for No Makeup in School is getting wide publicity. As I turned the pages, I ran into more familiar names. Allan runs a beauty salon specializing in hair straightening, and has a flower shop on the side. There's a picture of Javier on this page, advertising men's colognes. Rose is also adver- tising: she's now a plastic surgeon specializing in nose jobs. One article cites Bill as President of the Auto Safety Club. The society section shows Roberto modeling sunglasses. Patty models clothes for 6' girls. Stacie has a column on this page called Advice to the Love Lorn. We produced quite a few manufacturers: Ricky makes Banlon golf shirts, Gary makes matzoh balls, Harry's business is making beer kegs, and Ricardo man- ufactures elevator shoes. Frank, the principal of Commonwealth, wrote an article boasting about Joaquin, his typing teacher. Eduardo, judging by his ad, tunes toy pianos. On this same page is a story about Steve - a very successful dietician who emphasizes diet pills. Randy is also advertising as a driving instructor. Here's a picture of a tugboat operator. Why, it's Jimmy! And next to him is Lori. Her sign says she's a beachcomber who sells Seashells down by the sea- shore. Kathy and Ligia work together now. Kathy is a gym instructor, Ligia has in- vented a special kind of Bandaid for knees injured during volleyball games. Here's a picture of Teresa and Tom G. The caption says Teresa holds seances, and Tom is a famous collector of antique miniature cars. Brian has made the news as the first successful settler on the moon. Erwin is a famous sound effects man for poultry advertisements. The Minca Hinca stars four of our graduates. Jose is a professional soul broth- er. Lynn is now drumming under the name of Gena Krupa. Barbara is there, a belly dancer, and so is Nettie, who is an expert snake charmer. Finally, I've arrived at the Sports page. Here's Fernando with one of his surf- ing trophies - he designs them. Jorge is a jockey and just won the Kentucky Derby. Rene is an Olympic backstroker. Judi is a renowned contortionist. Last but not least, Alfonso qthat's mey is a rich executive, although I made my money manufacturing Peruvian rings for Sl. 98. So you see, every member of my Senior Class has made a name for himself, and is an upright citizen f???J. Q
