MR. JOSEPH PASTORINO Although Mr. Pastorino is new to Commonwealth this year, he has impressed us so favorably that this section of the SENIOR CORNER is dedicated to him. For the short time he has been here, he has striven to make all of his students more aware of their surroundings. He himself wrote, If this is to be an enlightened world in which people of all races, creeds, and nationalities can live harmoniously, the teacher must develop the traits and abilities of the future generation. Mr. Pastorino has not maintained an aloof teacher-student relationship. Instead, he has made us all feel like we are friends, an admirable quality in any teacher. As advisor to the COMET and the HOURGLASS , he has unselfishly given of his time and energy--determined to release the best publications in Commonwealth's history. Because he is a fine person and an excellent teacher who has instilled in us the desire to learn more, we welcome MR. JCBEPH PASTORINO to the SENIOR CORNER.
