FARiEWEi.L MESSAGE In a period of anxiety and crisis, the main problem of education is not in- tellectual: it is the problem of human existence. How should we live? How should we look upon society? What should be our final goals? Knowledge is the key to our future. It implies a change of values, a trans- valuation of ideals. It means that the arts must not be confined to the museum: rather they must become part and parcel of our everyday existence. Real education brings us into touch with ideas and ideals which have a timeless reality. It creates new friends. It represents man's yearning for status and signifi- cance in life. , In The Brothers Karamazov we read, Everyone isreally responsible to all men for all and everything. This ideal should be the motto for our graduates, who have the enthusiasm and the insight to face the future with an open perspective. , I - f , , , , t f , X X X 3 X . ' f V I 1 . L , x
