X P R O P I-I E C Y IContinuedJ Nellie Highsmith is hostess in the Savannah Hotel, and Betty Jean Roberts is head cook at Morrison's. Alma Hall is running the Ba-by-dy-de service now. Isn't that sweet? Virginia Bracewell is a playground director in Forsyth Park , and Annelle Pittman is teaching dancing at Marilyn Youman's old studio. Margaret Rowe is now the official babysitter for President Ike's grandchildren, and Shirley Shaw is a big worker for the Red Cross. You remember Connie Scott. She is commanding officer of the WAC's. Carolyn Kicklighter is a member of the WAC's and Virginia McNure is a WAVE. James Kicklighter is a pilot in the Air Force. He holds quite a record. Hazel McNear is doing fine as a lady air- raid warden. Raymond Usher, who is an atomic scientist, is organizing a trip to Mars. Sidney Love is going to pilot the rocket. Faye Heidt is going along to look for a husband. None of the critters on earth suit her. Wylene Moore plans to open a big cheese industry if it is true that the moon is made of green cheese. Mary Veno, who is a germ specialist, is going along to examine the germs. Nancy Smith was planning to go for her health, but there wasn't room for her pet elephant, so she changed her mind. Our club is having a big banquet and dance at the Country Club tonight. Jacqueline Braddock is to be hostess. She and Lavada Bragg are just about the Society leaders here in town now. Of course, Vir- ginia Blackwell is a pretty big shot, being the owner of the Union Bag. Speaking of big shots, I have a new neighbor who is so rich that she takes baths in milk. Her name is Viola Wasson. I know you remember Honey Spivey. She was a pretty wealthy woman until someone took the stretch out of her elastic industry. Now the poor girl shines shoes for a living. I guess she would starve to death if it were not for her old pal, Mary Nell Harrell, who takes her a can of beans every week. Mary Nell is a wealthy stock broker now and -------- Sniff, sniff, Oh! Oh! I smell something burning. I think Junior is setting the kitchen table on fire again. Pd better close for now. Enclosed are some recipies for fixing pineapples and cocoanuts. I'l1 write again when the mail goes through in another ten years. I X. , QQ Your old friend, in f tg X Q Eleanor CCoochiel Dix l I x
