Svnrkrr The Commercial High School Annual Socker football, now ranked as a major sport in Commercial, was first introduced into the school in 1906. From the very begin- ning the game proved popular and was taken up with great enthus- iasm by the students. Although we turned out a splendid team Dame Fortune Went back on us at the last moment. Zlllfl we lost the championship to Manual by half a point. ln 1907 we again turned out a first-class combinatiion which. although not so successful as the team of 1906, succeeded in capturing third honors. The fol- lowing players, coached by Mr. Browne. compose the 1908 tcallli Schum, Rodriguez, Benedict. l,oughlin. Sourille. Bergen. Doiiagllyy Stuartv Ziegler: CCHPUD Otto. and Foolae.
