Dance, Dance, Dance, Faculty and Parent Her Pin-Up In October, 1958, The Autumn Leaves Ball, the first dance of the year was a huge success for the Senior Class. The Hi-Tones supplied the music, and the decorations were cheerful and gay. N X J N V w le 5 Secretarial Practice The purpose of the Secretarial Course is to give the students on-the-job training, so that when they enter offices they will be ready to take over their duties without any further training. The students must accomplish the following in order to graduate with a diploma in this field: they must be able to take dictation at a minimum speed of eighty words a minute, they must be able to transcribe at a minimum of thirty words per minute, and they must have a workable knowledge of the duties of a secretary. Last year, fifty per cent of the secretarial graduates were placed in jobs at S50 a week or more, and anyone who wanted a job was placed. TEM' 9'
