The eleven boys on the team were small but fast and handled themselves smartly during the season. Un- der the guidance of Coach Jefferson, they practiced daily to improve their game. Row 3: R. Johnson, R. Powers, C. Storms, R. Nicholas, J. Farraggio, I. Ali, H. Holterman, A. Skrobola. The Jayvee's. coached by Ted Fields has tried hard to improve since Novem- ber. This inexperienced team, consisting mostly of newly acquired sopho- mores looks very promising and should prove more outstanding in coming years. Left to Right Row T: I. Hermanspan, M. Aliberto, N. The cheering squad made up of ten girls with Dorothy McMinn as captain, and sponsored by Miss Halpin and Mrs. Mitchell have done a fine iob this year. They have, tor the first time, cheered for the Saunders-Commerce football team and they are now in the process of cheering for our basketball team. The cheering squad practices for a period of two hours every day improving old cheers and learning new ones. Their positions on the squad are obtained through competitive tryouts. T04 CHEERING SQUAD
