For the three years that we have been at Com- merce, we have benefited by the guidance of a man of high ideals, a true educator who has, with the great- est devotion, worked unselfishly for his students and his school. With a realization of the lasting effect upon us of his high principles and holdings, the class of 1952, as a token of respect and devotion, dedicates this Ledger to our esteemed principal, Mr. Frank Lee Baker. When the first call for baske:- ball was made the prospects looked rather good except for the fact that all our material was so small. There was Ray Srefanik, Dick Srefanik, William Mikuliak, Floyd Toone and john Louncls from lasr year's Varsity squad. From the jayvee squad we brought up Tom Krasovic, Allan Newbrand, Billy Thomas and joe Jasinslci. Ar mid-year, Teddy Fields became eligible and played with both squads. Lacking height, the team played possession ball and used a full court press for defense. Their team work and passing were, usually, a pleasure to behold. Baseball is the next action to start and when the weatherman makes up his mind that winter should leave, we will get started. We do not want to sound too optimistic at this stage of the game-we have two good catchers, four pitchers ffrom very good to fairl, first, second, and shrt, and third well covered. There are a lot of boys out trying for the outfield position, and we hope to have a good team. The school spirit is fine and will be a great help. Left to right, First Row: Amone, A. Hendricks, T.
