The agony of defeat. ‘a The thrill of Victory. The High School of Commerce Girl’s track team had a record of two wins, one tie, and three losses. Ethel Burge, most versatile girl, had an excellant year for the raiders. She competed in four events and showed outstanding performances in all. Bon- nie Nelsson was the most improved runner, bring- ing her time from twenty minutes to ten minutes in the two mile run. The Bionic Women for Com- merce was Joan Walters. She alone competed in the shotput and discuss throw, and showed unbelievable strength. Kathy Minnie was most dedicated. She really had that Raider Spirit! 27
