Grace and poise are developed in girls’ physical education classes. Dancing, basketball, field hockey, and apparatus are a few phases of the physical education program at the High School of MRS. MR. VERLE KING Massachusetts College of Art Westfield State College MR. WALTER D. NICKERSON New England Conservatory of Music Springfield College Michelle Holland puts the finishing touches of the yearbook cover, which she designed. Art classes stimulate aesthetic appreciation. Through art, students are given an opportunity to express their creativity. The three classes brighten our surroundings by designing posters and Capers scenery. Music is offered in many forms at Commerce. Music-minded students here at Commerce can choose between chorus, band, and glee club. These three groups often combine to perform before the entire student body. The annual music assemblies, held in April, are eagerly anti- cipated by all the pupils. For the Christmas assembly, the band, chorus, and choir combine to entertain the student body with seasonal music.
