SERAFINO graduated from Boston University (B.S.), Dartmouth Col- lege, Harvard Graduate School of Business (M. Ed.), and Springfield Col- lege. He is the receiving treasurer for the Board and enjoys golf. Skating and ice hockey are the principal hobbies of MR. JAMES K. TIL- LOTSON, a teacher of American and world his- tory. He attended A.I.C. (B.A., M.A.) and is pre- sently working toward his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study at Spring- field College. GOs MR. HAROLD OD. SMITH, JR., who teaches American History and world history, graduated from Becker Junior Col- lege (A.S.), Clark Uni- versity (B.B.A.) and the University of Connecticut (C.A.G.S.). Student hostess June Pistel greets the business executives visiting Commerce as consultants. Mr. Victor Biscotti, Mr. Carson Cluley, Miss Irene DiSanti, Mr. Brendon Cox, Mr. Leon Erb, Mr Donald Hartley, and Mr Salvatore Mazzaferro gave Com- merce seniors valuable advice concern- ing qualifications and opportunities in MISS ALBERTA Mc- CLEARY attended Mount Holyoke College (B.S.) and the University of Pennsylvania (M.S.). She is supervisor of the Cadu- ceus Photo Staff. She is a teacher of biology, and her hobbies are gardening and photography. A teacher of stenography, MRS. CATHERINE MORIARTY is a grad- uate of Northeastern Uni- versity (B.B.A., B.C.S.) and Boston University (M.Ed.). MISS JOAN McDON- ALD — graduated from A.L.C. with a B.S. degree, and from New York Uni- versity with a M.S. degree. She is a teacher of book- keeping and typing. English is the subject taught by MRS. MARY MURPHY, a graduate of College of Our Lady of the Elms (A.B.) and A.I.C. (M.A.). She is adviser to the Junior Class and Future Nurses Club. 15 MR. WILLIAM Mc- WHA is graduate of State Teachers College, Salem (B.S.) and Boston Univ. (M.Ed.). He is a teacher of data processing and bookkeeping. Mr. Mc- Wha has participated in United Fund activities. MR. WALTER D. NIC- KERSON, teacher of music, is a graduate of the New England Con- servatory of Music (B. Mus.) and Springfield College (M.Ed.). ‘Mr. Nick” enjoys fishing and swimming. His pet peeve is “Boys? wearing bangs.” MR. GEORGE W. MEA- CHAM, teacher of busi- ness practice and physical education, graduated from A.I.C. (B.S.). Head coach of wrestling and assistant coach of football, he is a graduate of Commerce and was the first captain of patrol. MR. LEO RIOUX is a world history teacher. Mr. Rioux attended Assump- tion College and Westfield State College (B.S., M. Ed.). He is a member of the faculty social commit- tee here at Commerce, and hi s hobby is reading road maps.

MRS. FREDERICKA VAUGHN, who attended the Boston Bouve School of Physical Education and Springfield College, teach- es physical education and drivers’ education. She is also in charge of the Drill Team. Mrs. Vaughn en- joys reading and playing bridge. A business mathematics teacher, MR. KENNETH A. ZEMLA - graduated from Northeastern Uni- versity (B.B.A.) and the College of Our Lady of the Elms (M.E.), and also received a C.A.GS. He coaches hockey and his favorite recreations are bowling and boating. A teacher of English, MRS. HARRIET WID- LAND is a graduate of Syracuse University (B. A.) and Springfield Col- lege (M.Ed.). When Mrs. Widland attended high school, she enjoyed both dramatics and journalism. Studies MR. WILLIAM WAL- LACE WILDER, 2nd, who plays an active part in Commerce Capers, the Scholarship Committee, Graduation details, and who is also chairman of the Science Department, attended the University of New Hampshire and Har- vard (B.S., M. Ed.). over, Mr. songs. IZ Bennett entertains his students in 223 with familiar folk MRS. EMMA WIL- LIAMS, a physical educa- tion teacher, is a graduate of Hampton Institute (B. S.). She also did further study at Springfield Col- lege. Mrs. Williams en- joys crossword puzzles and lists her pet peeve as “dirty sneakers.” from a student after lunch. A graduate of Westfield State Teachers College with a B.S. Ed. degree, Boston University with a M.Ed. degree, and the University of Connecticut with a 6th year certificate, MISS JULIA ZAJ- CHOWSKI teaches filing. She is in charge of make- up in Capers.
