MRS. GRACE M. CONNELL, a graduate of Boston University (B.S.C.) is a teacher of history. A member of the faculty social committee, MR. CHARLES COR- CORAN, a teacher of English, received his A.B. from Rock- hurst College and his M.A. from the University of Kansas City. Back in high school, Mr. Corcoran was active in soccer and crew. A graduate of Boston State College (B.S.,M.Ed.), MRS. BERNICE M. CONNOLLY teaches business math and penmanship. In addition, she is in charge of locker keys. When asked about her pet peeve, she replied, “People who are late.” MR. JOSEPH DELLA-GIUSTINA, a teacher of business math, law, and sales, graduated from Manhattan College (B.S.) and American International College (M.A.). Disorganized students are Mr. Della-Giustina’s pet peeve. A graduate of New York Uni- versity (B.S., M.A.), MISS MARY G. CONWAY is a teacher of stenography. MR. DAVID JOHN COOK, a graduate of Worcester State Teachers College (M.S.) and New Mexico Western College (B.S.), teaches business law, salesmanship, Typing | and Il, and coaches varsity baseball and soccer. A Typewriting | teacher, MRS. MADELEINE DUREPO graduated from Salem Teachers College (B.S.). At present she is in the process of completing her M.A. at A.I.C. In high school her favorite subject was French, and she was active in sports and dramatics. MR. RAYMOND H. ELLISON, our school librarian and Ca- duceus editorial adviser, was graduated from Clark (B.A.) and Brown (M.A.). An English teacher, Mr. Ellison’s pet peeve is time wasting. In her high school days, Miss Burlow en- joyed hiking and American His- tory. MRS. CLAIRE O. CARROLL, a graduate of Salem State Col- lege (B.S.Ed.) and Boston Uni- versity (M.C.S.), teaches ste- nography and typing and is in charge of school locker keys. A teacher of general auxiliary, MISS PATRICIA CABANA is a graduate of the College of our Lady of the Elms. MISS VIRGINIA M. CLANCY at- tended Framingham Teachers College (B.S.), Boston Univer- sity, and Cornell University. Our home economics teacher tells us that she played trum- pet during high school. One who admires a student who takes advantage of all opportunities presented him, MISS MADELINE J. CANARIE is a graduate of Regis College (B.S.) and Boston University. A business practice and type- writing teacher today, Miss Canarie participated in high school musicals. A product himself of the High School of Commerce, MR. ER- NEST L. CONCHIERI, a gradv- ate of American International College (B.S.) and New York University (M.A.), is a teacher of Bookkeeping II and G.O. Accounting. Mr. Conchieri is faculty manager of athletics. MISS HELENE E. CARROLL, a teacher of home economics, is a graduate of Framingham State Teachers College (B.S.Ed.) and Springfield College (M.Ed.). In addition, Miss Carroll has done graduate work at the Universi- ty of Chicago and Syracuse. Miss Carroll is in charge of locker keys. A graduate of Tufts University (A.B.) and Boston University (M.A.), MISS ELIZABETH CON- NELL, a teacher of English, is also editorial adviser of ‘’Com- merce.’ When Miss Connell was a high school student, she en- joyed basketball and the school orchestra. 11

Mr. Fin- negan tells us that Mr. Mea- cham is his pet peeve! A teacher of English, MRS. HELEN GRIFFIN graduated from Fitchburg Teachers College (B.S.E.) and Springfield Col- lege (M.Ed.). Mrs. Griffin is adviser of the National Honor Society, and her pet peeve is disorganization. MR. JOHN P. GAFFNEY, JR., English and speech teacher and adviser to the Drama Club, was the 1936 Senior Class president at Commerce. Mr. Gaffney was graduated from AIC (B.A.) and did graduate work at Columbia, Yale, Colorado, and San Fran- cisco. MR. GEORGE M. HARGREAVES, a newcomer to our school, graduated from the University of Maine (B.A. M.A.), La- Salle CL.L.B.), Springfield Col- lege, and Army War College. He is a teacher of world geog- raphy and an Army reserve offi- cer. English Lit., lunch, and wasting time were the favorite high school subjects of MR. MELVIN H. GRANT, a graduate of the University. of Massachusetts CA.B.) and A.I.C. CM.A.). He is Capers Director and college prep English teacher. A graduate of American Inter- national College (B.S.) and Springfield College (M.Ed.), MR. JAMES J. HARRINGTON teaches Typing Il. The pet peeves of Mr. Harrington are noisy hallways and the assem- bly hall. Girls’ physical education in- structor MISS FLORENCE €E. GREENLEAF was graduated from Bliss Business College (B.S.) and the University of Maine (M.S.). Miss Greenleaf is in charge of cheerleading, bowling, softball, and badmin- ton. American History and modern problems teacher MISS REGINA T. HENDERSON was graduated from Westfield State (B.S.) and Springfield College (M.S.).
