Foreword Although the 1961-62 school year is over, each class will have something significant in its own right to cherish and remember as it looks through the pages of our yearbook. As the freshmen become juniors, the memory of Freshie Day will linger on: an exciting experience to some, a day of woe fo others. They will also remember—with smiles on their faces—the bewildering predicament they found themselves in the first day of school as they tried to find the rooms as- signed to them. The juniors, now promoted to seniors, will always hold dear the day they wore their class rings for the first time and the thrilling night of their junior prom. Of course, the nightly homework assignments which seemed never to end will be remembered with a wrinkle on their brow. The now-graduated seniors will have memories abun- dant as they reminisce through their yearbook. Their senior prom, which was even more splendid than they had anti- cipated, will by far stand out as the highlight of their last year at Commerce. The senior banquet, the senior hats, and Class Day will as well be included as they think back to all their joys at high school. Yes, there are memories for everyone pictured in the 1962 yearbook. As you turn its pages, let each page be a KEY unlocking a fond recollection.

To us at Commerce, the word FACULTY means FRIENDS. Each of us has, at some time or other, experienced occasions when our teachers have been more than just teachers. Their main duty is that of trying to educate those of us who desire training or knowledge in a certain field. But how many of us have taken personal problems to our superiors with the hope that we would gain understanding, and in addition, have found a solution? Although we do not always show gratitude towards them, it is always there. We appreciate having such a fine faculty.
