Cee ne arena mlm eee eneeerenennrneenimnnneeiemmentnmaesl GJA(D Us GeE2U SS We Must Leave Our School For Life's Work Who knows what the future may have in store for the members of the January Class of 1934? Time alone can enlighten us. We prophesy, however, that its members will find success and happiness in various undertakings upon gradua- tion from Commerce. The majority will enter the business world. Able typists, speedy stenog- raphers, accurate accountants, and competent bookkeepers will faithfully work for their employers and hold responsible positions. Some day we may see the rise of the filing clerk to the private secretary, the messenger boy to the head of his corporation, the accountant to the bank president! Though Commerce is principally concerned with business training for its students, no doubt some of them will enter colleges and further their education along professional lines. Among their numbers there will in the future be teachers, doctors, scientists, or lawyers. No doubt many of the girls of the January Class of 1934 will marry after a while. Even then their high school education will prove a great help to them, for they will then put to practical use the fundamentals of the course in Home Management, and they will establish happy homes. Members of the January Class of 1934, we are no crystal gazers who can inform you what your life will be five, ten, or fifteen years from now. But we venture to give you sound advice. Have determinatio n in your hearts—deter- mination, courage, and a desire to succeed. With these qualities you will come out on top! Perhaps you wonder why such a brief resumé of the prophecy is written. You will remember that at the play given on Class Day you heard the future of many of the individual members of the class forecast in rhyme. We are not printing these rhymes as they were nct original with us, but were quoted from an outside source, and were adapted to our class by your prophets.
