With Coach Charles Dexter and Coach David Ingram at the controls, the potent Tigers soared to a 7-3 record and second place in District 13AA. Vernon defenders. i boosters, by slamming four non-conference foes in rapid succession. Class AAA Sulphur Springs and highly rated White Oak put two straight smudges on the previously un- blemished Tiger record. Three District l3AA foes were the next Commerce victims before Bonham spoiled their bid for the first district championship since 1945. 6
