SENIOR CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1947, Miss Esther Draeger welcomed fourteen scared but eager pupils to the first grade. They were: David Anderson, Robert Duncan, Dennis Gorman, Keith Katcher, Daniel Nicholson, William Rouse, Robert Strietmatter, Robert Tobin, Bonnie Boyer, Dea Ann Elliott, Lois Lackore, Charlene Lemons, Doris Linn, Muriel Mannetter. Ronald Kraninger and James Chapin joined us the second semester. Miss Esther Draeger again welcomed us to the second grade. Judy Hillier and Philip Tetzloff joined us, while David Anderson, Robert Tobin, and Daniel Nicholson left us. In our third year we started with fifteen pupils, Miss Rosella McComb being our teacher. Charles Bonnette, James Tibbits, Joyce McCoy, Ruby Theilen, Kenneth Eagen, Patsy Tudor, and JoAnn Steinberg joined us later on in the year. We now numbered twenty-one. Upon entering fourth grade we lost Ruby Theilen, Kenneth Eagen, JoAnn Steinberg, and Philip Tetzloff, but we regained Charles Bonnette and Philip Tetzloff back at the beginning of the second semester. Our teacher that year was Mrs. Joyce Cavanaugh. In our fifth year, Miss Beverly Trich was our teacher. At the beginning of the year, we were joined by Frieda Adlemund. Our roll call was then nineteen. The year 1952 brought us three new pupils. They were: Eli Martin, Evelyn Boofer, and Sandra Juhl. James Tibbits, James Chapin, and Robert Strietmatter left us. Mrs. Onalee Wickersham was our teacher. Mrs. Merelyn Albaugh ushered in sixteen enthusiastic seventh graders. Sandra Rivers joined us and Sandra Juhl, Eli Martin, Dennis Gorman, DeaAnn Elliott, and Charles Bonnette failed to return for that year. The eighth grade graduates of 1955 numbered seventeen including Glen Ferch who joined us at the beginning of the year. Mrs. Merelyn Albaugh was again our teacher. Chris Cordes, Sandra Gesell, Daniel Nicholson, and Janet Parson joined us at the beginning of our Freshman year. GlenFerch did not join that year. Our class enrollment now totaled twenty. Mr. Schlader was our class sponsor. Joyce McCoy and Frieda Adlemund were absent in our Sophomore year and Sandra Rivers and Evelyn Boofer left us in the second semester, which left us with sixteen students for the 1956 - 1957 school year. Mr. Lugauer was our sponsor. Lois Lackore and Janet Parsons failed to join us in our Junior year. We now numbered fourteen. Mrs. Steele was our class sponsor. Our graduating class of 1959 numbers twelve. Daniel Nicholson, and Sandra Gesell were not with us for our final year. Our class sponsor was Mr. John Halstead, Principal. Z li X gi X L I 2 c -?
