They were: Harry Eggers, Robert Kiess, Bernard Krall, David Lutz, Ronald Mannetter, Wesley Quade, Bennie Starr, David Nicholson, Marjorie Krie- meyer, Barbara Pryer, Marcia Russell, Joyce Wiltse, Linda Rodamaker, and Linda Wilson. In the second grade, Miss Esther Draeger was again our teacher. Keith Anderson, Elliott Rouse, Michael Ungs, and Richard Osterman joined us, while Barbara Pryer and Joyce Wiltse left us. Third grade brought sixteen pupils to the Colwell Consolidated school with Mrs. Don Lackore as our teacher. Larry and Robert Hayungs joined us that year. Our fourth grade teacher was Miss Rosella McComb. Evelyn Steinberg joined us during the year, and Wesley Quade, David Nicholson, and Harry Eggers left us. In 1950 Miss Lois Ott greeted us as we began a new year. Karen Ash was added to our class in the fall with Billy Schneider and Roselyn Dolph joining us at mid-term. Bennie Starr, Larry and Robert Hayungs, and Michael Ungs had left us during the year. Bernadine Bishop joined us in the middle of our sixth year. Miss Beverly Trich was our teacher. We now numbered thirteen. Mrs. Merlyn Albaugh ushered in eleven seventh graders with Richard Oster- man leaving us and Joanne Myers joining us in the middle of the year. The eighth grade graduating class numbered eleven with Mrs. Merlyn Albaugh again as our teacher. Billy Schneider left in the second semester. Our ninth year brought us five new class members. Kenneth Golly, William Neal, and Donald Wright joined us at the beginning of the year, and Barbara Burhite joined us in the middle of the year. Cur class was saddened by the loss of one of our members, Marjorie Kriemeyer, who passed away in the second semester. Mr. Robert Schlader was our sponsor. Tenth. grade brought us four more new members: Robert Lovejoy, Larry Parson, David Nicholson, and James Taft. James Taft transferred in the last half of the year, leaving us a total of seventeen to begin our junior year. Our class sponsor this year was Mr. Roy Held. Mrs. K. E. Steele sponsored this, our junior year, aiding us with our Junior- Senior Banquet. Her help was much appreciated. Marilyn Boehmer was the only additional member. Larry Parsons, Donald Wright, and Marilyn Boehmer failed to return for our senior year. So our class number diminished to fifteen. Our sponsor for our final year was Mr. John Halstead. ,,ii. i - l?-4. ... PROPHECY It is now 1968. Ten years have passed since the Class of '58 strolled through the halls of old C. H. S. H you went to the nation's capital these day's you would probably see Congress- man Ronald Mannetter. No one really knows how he obtained this position, but it is rumored his old Colwell buddies took a few measures to help him. The David Lutz 8: Sons Trucking Service of Colwell is a flourishing enterprise. He is also owner of the Lutz Truck Stop on the outskirts of Colwell. The former Marcia Russell and her husband, Richard Jung, have just celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary. She had to get a job as a veterinary's assistant to help support their five little ones. Down in the deep of the Mediterranean Sea you can find the person who is known to all his friends as Ken Golly. He took up deep sea diving when he found out it was much safer than driving on Floyd County roads. Have a scientific problem to solve? lf so, go to Professor William Neal's lab- oratory. Bill has no definite plans for marriage as of yet, but he has his eye on a feminine scientist. i Our former classmate, Linda Wilson, and her husband General Richard M. Springer, are living at Seattle, Washington. Linda says she hopes to start a platoon of her own some day. Last week there was a rodeo in town. You could never imagine who we saw? It was the famous bare-back riding champion, Bernard Krall, from Arizona. If what the girls say is true, he is still the sly and eligible bachlor he was when he was in C. H. S. Up in the blue yonder we can see a tiny silver spot. Behind the controls is the former C. H. S. student Robert Lovejoy. No one knows if he is married or not for he hasn't been out of his jet long enough to say. At Atlantic City a month ago the Mr. America contest was held. When it came to showing muscles a Colwell resident, Robert Kiess, won. He had taken the Mr. Atlas muscle building course when he finished school which proves not all such courses are frauds. And now we meet up with Dr. R. E. Painkiller fthe former Roselyn Dolphi. She was on her way to a secret meeting for consultation about the common cold germ, but she stopped to say that she would let us in on the first shipment of vaccine, after the inoculation of her husband and her three children. The other day when I turned on the television set, Elliott Rouse of Colwell was coaching the new Yankee team. This is the first time in the history of baseball that the father is the coach of his nine sons, who make up the world famous team. There is a new singing idol with black hair and long sideburns. It is none other than Herbert Starr, an old '58 graduate. From all the reports he is the second Elvis Presley. At one of the large California universities you will find the former Joanne Myers teaching baton to the students. As you will remember, she was the twirling champion for several years. In her spare time she is busy keeping house for her husband and four charming daughters. Behind the scenes of the Red Skelton show you will find the well known script writer, David Nicholson. The subject of marriage is quickly dropped when David Red appears. Ringling Brother's Circus has a great act with it now. It is Bernadine and her trained lions. The only thing her husband helps with is the capturing of the beasts in Africa. One thing they all have in common even though they are all scattered around the world is that they miss the cheery smiles of the teachers and the friendly hellos of the lower classmen.
