Varsity outdoor track succeeded in taking high honors at each invitational meet they attended. Outstanding performances were given by both the varsity and the frosh-soph teams as they both placed first at the C.S.L. divisional meet. With a late start the team only practiced on their game field twice. With a 7-7 record in league play and a 5-12 in conference, the season ended better than Coach Ward expected. Co-captains for the team were Mahoney and Christell. i MVP Laussen along with teammates Christell and Elatkin made all-conference. Next year's season promises to be a real challenge. With a change in the set-up, the Demons will be playing in one of the toughest divisions in the state. The sophomores finished their season with a 9-5 record.
