Activities Strike Upn Bowl lub Interest The Girls' Bowling Club hosted a special even each month. November's Turkey Shoot brought th bowler with the high series a turkey. A holiday partg was December's feature. The girls bowled with thei opposite hands, and each strike allowed the bowler t choose a grab bag gift. Faculty-student scotcl doubles with candlelight bowling was February' highlight. First and second place winners receive' trophies. Beat the easter bunny night was April' event. The girls who beat the Easter bunny, a teache in disguise, received chocolate bunnies. The banque was held at the end of the year, and awards were give: for attendance, high game, high series, high averag and most improved bowler. Additionally, first, seconr and third place team trophies were awarded on th basis of semester rolloffs. Throughout the season, th team with the highest series each month was awarde one of the most cherished prizes, a pizza. Despite a big turnover from last yea: bowlers, participation in the club increased. T two divisions consisting of ten teams each, col peted against each other. Alleys were filled eve Tuesday from September to May with Mai East bowlers. Better bowlers and tournamer marked the 74-75 bowling season. Ketchik, Mr. Nelson, Mr. Belmonte, Mrs. Farrell, Demon uard Teaches Area Childre To Swim Patience, leadership, willingness, and a iowledge of swimming are just a few of the .alities important in teaching young children swim. The 50 volunteer teachers in Demon lard were chosen through an interview with onsors Mrs. Farrell, Mr. Belmonte, and Mr. ilson. Due to such a great turnout of new embers, a swim test was added to this year's tryout. All of the students are involved in various tivities, which limits club activities to Satur- y morning lessons. Demon Guard also spon- rs the familv swims held throughout the year well as the Little Demon Relays at the end of 2 year. In the relays, the children can proudly :ww off their newly acquired swim talents. Rib- ns are given to the winners. All work and no xy is not a motto of Demon Guarders, Jugh. Occassional pizza parties and swim par- s were held. Club members are able to earn nney for swim lessons offered in the summer.
