Musical Organizations were active this year. In addition to presenting the 27th annual Messiah, a Contempory Chamber Ensemble which deals with avant-garde music was started. The students were also able to experiment with electronic music. A Steinway grand piano was purchased for the school and music students. The Madrigal Singers were involved with different aspects of 16th century music. The Concert Choir helped to spread Christmas cheer as the first group to sing carols at Northwestern Railroad Station. The Sophomore Girl's Ensem- ble performed g'Yankee Doodle in Vshow. The Concert Orchestra showed their versitility by playing songs from popular musicales such as 'KSound of Musicu at the first annual pops con- cert. Also performing in the school's musical was the Concert Orchestra. Seven musicians were selected from our Concert Band to play in the District Festival in IMEA. The Concert Bnad Marched at the games and at various parades. A first place was awarded to the band in the Cedarberg, Wisconsin Music Festival.
