'eign language clubs sponsored various ps in an effort to encourage both cultural cial motivation. Dining at a French int, swimming at a splash party, and ag a French play were some of the ac- sponsored by the French Club. The members, mostly freshmen and ores, experienced a touch of French life ith some social activities. The club also sponsored the National Italian Contest and a successful bake sale. - The activities of German Club this year consisted of a variety of group parties, several pretzel sales, along with one ofltheir main events, a trip to Milwaukee. In Milwaukee they visited the highly rated zoo, and enjoyed Wiener schnitzel and sauerbraten at Maders, the restaurant that made Schnitzelbank famous.
