ersified Occupations to Expand Members of the Diversified Occupations Club range from beauticians to nurses' aides, and from printers to auto mechanics. Basically the club is trade-oriented. Because members work during a good part of the day, meetings are held once a week as a part of the regular assigned class. The club is organized so that students can learn the formal conduction of a meeting and participate in some social ac- tivities. Advisor Mr. Norek allows the students to decide on any activities the club will par- ticipate in. A pizza party, and appreciation banquet for employers along with some field trips comprise some of the activities of DO, Because of student interest, the Diversified Oc- cupations program will expand from 40 to 50 students during the '75-'76 school year I. Places First in DEC Contest Education On the job training and classroom in- structions on the related topics were the two objectives of the Distributive Education program. For the first time in seven years, East's D.E. placed first in the Area DECA Contest held at Woodfield. Mr. Lucas, club sponsor, at- tributes their success to the students' workmanship. D.E. students visited Maxwell Street, New Town, and Museum of Science and Industry. Diversified Occupation Club Bottom row: S. Finder R Coffell. C, Giancaspro, P. Kroening.
