Top Performances rom Varsity Gymnasts Varsity Gymnastics A much improved Varsity Gymnastic team found success with a winning season of 11-4. They had three district championsg Frank Crigler on trampoline, Mike Schwartz on rings, and Stan Kutin on parallel bars. Kutin's success earned him the title of MVP. According to Coach Tom Gardner, this year's team was one of the best he ever coached. He attributes this success to the top performances from the team in all events. Domenalla. s mnasts The Freshman Gymnastic Team's 5-5 record was not a true indication of how good the team was, according to Coach Beckwith. The many freshmen that competed in sophomore level meets hurt the team this year. He is, however, optimistic about the team's future. The sophomore squad ended their season with a 4-6 conference record. Coach Beckwith feels the team was hindered by the low number of team members and their lack of experience. Only five of the 10 sophomore gymnastists par- ticipated in the sport before this year. Senior Stan Kutin, MVP and all-around man, executes a manuever on the high bar.
