The team finished conference champions with seven all-conference runners. They were: Chuck Kulas, Bill Feid, Tom Plodzien, Ken Struck, Pat Donahue, John Hackl and John Gagliardi. Competing against 45 schools, the sophomores gained 100-point victories in the Bloom and Ottawa Invitationals. With an 11-3 record, the harriers tied with Niles East for se- cond place in the conference. In the 28-school St. Ignatius Invitational, the runners placed thirdg and in the St. Patrick Invitational they finished second out of the 20 competing schools. Outstanding runners were Greg Ciszek, Steve DeChaud, Bob Millar, Jim Donettelli and Jerry Goodman. N.
